After my shiatsu massage last Venus Day, I decided to walk around the neighbourhood.

The sun was out and bright, did I really need to be rushing home to do admin?

I walked past a bar where I’d first met an old flame. I’d been circling around the idea of reaching out for weeks, Mercury retrograde swirling me through past escapades.

On Venus hour I finally decided to send a song and a text.

“You’ve been floating in my mind”

A text arrived hours later: “Rest assured, you’ve been floating in my mind too”

Under the Aries Moon, I reconnected with this Aries Moon, warmth spreading to my face, smiling.

At 6:30 the next morning, I drove to the airport with only 4 hours of sleep to pick up a friend (another Aries Moon) whom I first met just two weeks after meeting that first Aries Moon. She was transiting through for only a few hours. I tried giving her a packet a Kettle chilli chips but if an Aries Moon says no I don’t insist so now it’s back in my pantry waiting for snack time.

I went home to nap, and then a third Aries Moon came over for tea, our meeting arranged weeks before, unaware it would be her lunar return too.

“Tell me what the stars have in store for me”

“The stars are telling you to enjoy this moment”

And then I started pondering:

What does this Moon in Aries want me to know today??

Get hotter, for one.

Not hotter as in look hotter (that could be one inevitable outcome)

But feel hotter.

As in alight with aliveness.

The A-alliteration I keep repeating for Aries:

aliveness, audacity, agency, autonomy.

I felt jittery leading up to our equinox ginhawa circle I facilitated with Little Bangka on Sunday morning, heart beating faster as I did last minute prep.

After attending a book club with strangers in my late twenties, I walked home crying, choked up and ashamed at being the only one to stay silent during a very smart discussion on a very smart book.

You could say public speaking was never my forte.

The steps we have taken to lead us into this moment is specific, and every step of the way we are choosing with our time, attention and energy.

Cutting through the story of I’m not ready.

The Aries lesson is that you can start moving anyway, booties still shaking.

I sometimes feel an impatience to get to the destination of my vision, constantly wondering how, mind churning churning churning.

It’s been softening a lot more in recent months. In the long (short) arc of my life, I can see how I have always chosen to participate in some kind of shape along the way, whether my mind categorises them as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ choices.

Minutes before the workshop, I walked out to a spot in my garden, and stood under the Sun in Aries, letting my whole body bask in the radiant morning sun, slowly sensing my inner spark glowing up inside.

In the workshop (my first), I let myself show up as I am, still in process and choosing to enjoy being in process with other humans too, not knowing everything. We met our future selves, sensed into our somatic truths and wrote about our days where all is well in the world.

It was so sweet to witness the intersections of what we each longed for, each different, each touching into a truth of our own experience.
