Nearly two years ago during the Aries solar eclipse, sick in bed crying about yet-to-be-expressed parts of me, I made the call to leave my full time job. Take a risk. Leap, not knowing what was on the other side. A bold, calculated act of leaving a materially cushy existence with a steady pay check cracked the illusion of safety being solely something outside of me. I remember looking at one particular personal transit on The Pattern app, afraid of the shake up promised for me. Would I have to move house when I didn’t want to?? What would be the destabilising disruption I felt unprepared for? In the weeks after quitting my job, it dawned on me that my decision to act and quit without a ‘real’ plan reflected the changes occurring in the skies. I didn’t need the skies to propel me to act, I simply needed to decide. I was looking for Change to shove me into a corner I couldn’t back out of, when really: The Change was emerging from inside of me, and I just had to pay attention. I remembered then how potent my agency is, when played with skill. Our lives are shaped by the environments we find ourselves in, and one of the biggest collective lie we have swallowed is our lack of agency to change the realities we are living in. ꩜ At the turn of the equinox and astrological new year, I am facilitating a free Ginhawa Circle workshop with Little Bangka this Sunday 22 March. The Sun conjoining with Neptune in Aries marks another new beginning in a year where life is asking us to participate audaciously with our whole being. In a time of crusty systems dissolving, a new dream is emerging, beginning with your willingness to imagine something different than the dystopian dreams we are witnessing. Who were you before the world told you that building a better world is impossible? What happens when you start anyway before you feel ready? We are remembering that the New and the Beginning is not something outside of you, merely little seeds waiting to be illuminated and nourished. We will circle back to the seeds of truth within you, the spark in your heart that gets you going. What feels honest to you? Where is your desire actually orienting you towards? What is the world you are seeking to create? Through guided somatic practices and writing prompts, we will learn to experience through our bodies how your Big Visions for the world already resides in you, and translate this felt sense into your everyday rhythms.
